Do Luong focuses on completing documents to submit to the Central Government for recognition as a new rural district.

On the morning of February 6, the Provincial People's Committee organized an inspection of the contents and criteria of the new rural district in Do Luong district. The inspection team was led by Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

During the period from 2011 to 2022, the entire political system in the districtDo Luonghas been active and made efforts in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development. In which, Party committees, authorities, and socio-political organizations have always paid attention to directing and implementing the program and have received the support and consensus of the people.

Thanks to that, Do Luong has achieved many outstanding results such as: Essential infrastructure has been invested in and strengthened towards standardization and modernization. The fields of culture, education, health, and environment have many strong and positive changes; the material and spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved.

The average GRDP growth rate has always been maintained at a fairly high level, with an average growth rate of 10.16% in the 2010-2015 period; 12.53% in the 2016-2021 period, and 10.91% in 2022; the economic structure has shifted in the right direction; annual budget revenue reached over 300 billion VND, and over 790 billion VND in 2022; there are more than 15,000 workers working abroad, sending back over 200 million USD annually; the employment rate of trained workers reached 77.29%; average income per capita from 23.2 million VND in 2010 to 65.76 million VND in 2022, of which rural areas reached 57 million VND/person/year.

After more than 10 years of implementing the National Target Programnew rural construction, Do Luong district has mobilized more than 5,513 billion VND. Of which: State budget is more than 2,033 billion VND, accounting for 36.88%; credit loan capital is more than 1,973 billion VND, accounting for 35.8%; enterprise support capital is more than 252 billion VND, accounting for 4.57%; People's contributed capital is more than 1,253 billion VND, accounting for 22.74%.

From that capital source, Do Luong prioritizes the construction of works serving production, roads, cultural and sports infrastructure, schools, substandard medical stations, clean water and environmental sanitation and other social infrastructure... Up to now, Do Luong district has no outstanding debt for basic construction in the National Target Program on New Rural Construction.

By the end of 2022, all 32/32 communes in Do Luong district have met 100% of the requirements.criteriatraffic according to Decision No. 318/QD-TTg dated March 8, 2022 of the Prime Minister and Decision No. 1563/QD-UBND dated June 7, 2022 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. Currently, Do Luong district has 32/32 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards.

After going to the field to grasp the situation of traffic infrastructure connection in the district; checking the planning of the new administrative area of ​​Do Luong district and the spiritual and material life of the people, along with the opinions of the members of the inspection team, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De praised and acknowledged the results of Do Luong district which has achieved many high achievements in implementing the new rural construction program over the past many years.

At the same time, Do Luong district was directed to receive opinions from departments and branches to supplement incomplete criteria, especially environmental criteria that need solutions for collection, classification and treatment to ensure sustainable rural environmental sanitation. The district continued to propagate to all classes of people to implement and maintain new rural criteria.

Departments, branches and the Provincial New Rural Program Coordination Office coordinate with Do Luong district to overcome the remaining issues and focus on completing the dossier to submit to the Central New Rural Office for review. From there, the Central New Rural Office proposes that the Government recognize the district as a new rural district as soon as possible so that Do Luong can organize the reception of the new rural district on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the district's establishment in the coming April./.
