Gift giving activities, supporting poor students and the poor
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 19, many activities of giving gifts and scholarships to disadvantaged students and the poor took place in localities.

Here, 100 warm blankets and 5 gifts worth 500 thousand VND each were given to the beneficiaries. The total value of the gifts was up to 25 million VND. This is the amount voluntarily contributed by police officers of Yen Thanh district and Buddhists of Chi Linh pagoda, calling for support from benefactors, helping poor students and lonely elderly people to be warmer this winter.

On the same day, the Yen Thanh District Red Cross Society and the District Education and Training Department coordinated with the VinGroup Thien Tam Fund to award scholarships to 3 poor students with especially difficult circumstances who are trying to excel in their studies in the district. Accordingly, each student will receive a scholarship worth 500,000 VND/month throughout the 2018-2019 school year.

This time, 600 children from Nghia Dan town and Nghia Binh commune were examined, treated, given medicine and given free gifts by 35 doctors from the National Children's Hospital. The value of the gifts and medicine given this time was about 120 million VND.
In addition to free medical examination and treatment, the Central Children's Hospital also organizes basic pediatric emergency training for doctors, nurses, and midwives of Nghia Dan Medical Center. These activities are part of the project "Pediatric primary health care training at Nghia Dan Medical Center" of the Central Children's Hospital.

Each scholarship worth 1 million VND is awarded to excellent students in secondary and high schools in Con Cuong district.
This program is sponsored by the Shinnyo-En organization of Japan, through the Vietnam Education Promotion Fund, to motivate poor and disadvantaged students to continue to have the opportunity to go to school.
December 19, Ky Son mountainous districtreceived more than 529 tons of rice to provide to households who voluntarily planted, cared for, and protected forests in Ky Son district.

The rice was provided to 9/21 communes and towns. The communes that received the most rice support included: Muong Ai commune with more than 106 tons, Na Ngoi with more than 119 tons, and Muong Tip with more than 78 tons.
Ky Son district strives to deliver all the rice to the people, the correct amount of rice provided by the central government and to the correct recipients, and will complete the distribution on December 20.
