Signing of cooperation between the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Executive Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 11, in Vinh city, the signing ceremony of the cooperation program between the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Executive Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha took place.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Do Van Chien - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Do Van Phoi - Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission;Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, together with leaders of the Provincial Police, Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Provincial Religious Committee, Provincial Party Committee Office, Provincial People's Committee Office.

On the side of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, there were: Most Venerable Thich Thanh Dam - Deputy Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Council; Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Vice President of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Propagation Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu - Permanent Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Buddhist Sangha; Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Permanent Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Buddhist Sangha. Also attending was Most Venerable Daichi - President of the Japanese Pure Land Council.
The coordination program between the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Executive Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha aims to mobilize, unite and gather monks, nuns, Buddhists and people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on great national unity.

The two sides also coordinated to promote the traditional culture and history of Vietnamese Buddhism, the ideology, ethics and humanistic values of Buddhism in the hearts of the nation, and the practical actions and deeds of monks, nuns and Buddhists in patriotic emulation movements and social security;
At the same time, strengthen the mobilization of affiliated Buddhist organizations, monks, nuns, and Buddhists to participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; well implement the working program of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
The contents of coordination between the two sides must ensure practicality, effectiveness, compliance with legal regulations, conformity with the Charter of the Fatherland Front, the Charter of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the actual situation in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Do Van Chien - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front assessed that this is a new model of operation in the activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels. On that basis, he hopes that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province will promote the good values between "religion and life", and mobilize monks, nuns, Buddhists and people to unite in all movements.
In the immediate future, the two sides will continue to mobilize people to effectively implement solutions to control, prevent and combat the Covid-19 pandemic, promote socio-economic development in each locality, and join hands with the whole society to care for people's lives. The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front hopes that the coordination model between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province will be successful and can be replicated.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province, comrade Do Van Chien presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Board of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha; at the same time sent greetings to all Venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhists for a peaceful and prosperous new year.
On this occasion, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Nghe An Police presented flowers and gifts on the occasion of the signing ceremony and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An Province. The Central Cultural Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha also commended many collectives, individuals, monks, nuns and Buddhists in Nghe An for their contributions.
