Through discussion, the leader of Dien Ngoc commune said: "According to the survey, there are currently more than 30 boats exploiting snails every day and there is a phenomenon of people dumping snail shells haphazardly after sorting snails. We have set up an inspection team and discovered 3 boat owners illegally dumping snail shells in prohibited areas and have reminded them as well as signed a commitment not to repeat the offense. For large amounts of snail waste, we will coordinate with the fishing port and environmental company to collect them promptly." |

Not only snail waste, but also the area around Lach Van fishing port is currently polluted by indiscriminately dumped household waste. It is known that every year, Dien Ngoc commune signs a contract with an environmental company to collect it at a cost of nearly 1 billion VND, but it is still not enough. Photo: PV |
