Tan Ky District Red Cross Societyjust coordinated with the Health Department to give 10 wheelchairs and 11 assistive devices to people with disabilities in the district.

21 subjects in Tan Ky district received 10 wheelchairs and 11 assistive devices including 4 canes, 6 walkers and 1 hearing aid. These are people with motor disabilities, or diseases caused by polio, cerebral palsy, stroke, spinal injury, unable to walk... received wheelchairs from humanitarian organizations.

Here, people with disabilities are instructed on how to use wheelchairs and assistive devices safely and conveniently. This program has brought joy and reduced the difficulty of moving for people with disabilities, helping them gradually integrate into the community.

With the spirit of volunteering for community life, wishing to support "Lighting up dreams" for students, especially those in difficult circumstances, Huong Son Commune Youth Union coordinated with Huong Son Primary School's Youth Union to organize the program "Love Meal" for the children, each meal ensures adequate nutrition including meat, fish, eggs, vegetables and cereals, worth 12,000 VND/meal.

This activity is maintained twice a month on Thursdays and has received the support of local people, so many households have donated rice, vegetables, and money to the Youth Union to maintain and replicate this model at schools in the commune.

Vo Cong Thanh’s family is one of the poor households in the commune, and their circumstances are extremely difficult. Both husband and wife are sick all year round, raising 3 small children. For many years, the family has had to live temporarily in a cramped, seriously degraded house that they cannot afford to repair.

The new level 4 house was built with an area of ​​90 square meters, with a cost of more than 150 million VND, of which the district and commune Fatherland Front Committees donated 27 million VND, the remaining amount was contributed by family, relatives and people in the neighborhood supported by working days.
