Merging villages and hamlets needs to be flexible and have a roadmap.

On the afternoon of November 30, deputies of the 14th National Assembly, constituency number 4 including: Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation; Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh - Deputy Head of the Gender Equality & Children Department of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs had a meeting with voters of Khanh Son commune (Nam Dan) after the 6th session of the 14th National Assembly.

Located in the Lam River area, Khanh Son commune (Nam Dan) has a total area of ​​over 30 km2, the commune has 29 hamlets, more than 2,947 households, the Party Committee has 524 party members operating in 35 party cells. The people's lives are mainly agricultural production, developing the hill garden economy. In recent years, the lives of local people have been constantly improved, with an average income of 38 million VND/person/year. In 2017, Khanh Son commune was recognized as a commune meeting the New Rural standards.

After listening to delegate Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh report to voters on the expected content of the 6th session of the 14th National Assembly, voters of Khanh Son commune (Nam Dan) expressed their opinions and recommendations on issues of concern.

Voter Ho Dinh Thuyet expressed his indignation at the situation where some people falsely declared and forged documents to apply for war invalid benefits. Mr. Thuyet requested that competent authorities review and handle those who undeservingly received war invalid benefits.

Voter Nguyen Huu Ky also reflected that the policy of merging villages and hamlets at higher levels should be considered in accordance with each locality. Mr. Ky cited Khanh Son commune with an area of ​​over 30 km²With 29 hamlets, many hamlets are hilly and the population is scattered. For example, hamlet 15, Khanh Son commune, has 100 households spread over 3 km. If the hamlets are merged, the large area will make it very difficult to operate and manage the hamlets. Mr. Ky suggested that the state should have a roadmap and implement it flexibly in accordance with the reality of each locality in implementing the merger of villages and hamlets.

Voters in Khanh Son commune reported that although Khanh Son commune was recognized as a commune meeting the New Rural Standards in 2018, some hamlets’ roads did not meet the requirements. Voters hoped that the government would continue to support cement so that hamlets could complete their roads.

Voter Nguyen Van Binh of Khanh Son commune expressed that in recent years, under the leadership of the Party, headed by the General Secretary, the fight against corruption has achieved many important results, but the recovery of corrupt assets is still very modest. Therefore, he suggested that the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government have more drastic and stronger solutions to bring about more results in the fight against corruption and waste.

At the meeting, many "hot" issues in society were also raised by voters of Khanh Son commune, such as the surplus of teachers, the shortage of teachers, especially the shortage of foreign language teachers in rural areas; the issuance and exchange of land use right certificates for people,...

Regarding the opinion of voters in Khanh Son commune about the situation of making fake war invalids' records, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province Tran Van Mao informed that recently, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs inspected Nghe An province and discovered 569 records.

The Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies affirmed that the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies will accept and continue to make recommendations to the competent authorities to continue reviewing the list of beneficiaries of war invalids. At the same time, for those who have real jobs, participated in the resistance war, and contributed to the revolution, voters and local authorities are requested to make recommendations to the competent authorities to create conditions for them to soon enjoy the State's policies.

Regarding the merger of villages and hamlets, the Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies said that the arrangement and organization of the apparatus and administrative units is an inevitable requirement. However, the implementation process will have to be carefully studied to suit the actual conditions of each region, especially in the merger of villages and hamlets.
