Truong Vinh tunnel connecting Thanh Hoa with Nghe An on North-South expressway opens
(Baonghean.vn) - After a period of bustling construction, the last meters of the left branch of Truong Vinh tunnel on the North-South expressway, Nghi Son - Dien Chau section, were dug and opened on April 28, 2022.

| Truong Vinh Tunnel belongs to the XL01 package, the project to build the North-South expressway in the East, Nghi Son - Dien Chau section with a total investment of more than 4,700 billion VND. Currently, Deo Ca is implementing 12 construction projects, including 2 independent projects for 2 tunnels; 2 projects for bridges; 8 projects for roads, drainage culverts, etc. To fully implement the tunnel construction tasks, the Project Management Board has deployed 3 shifts a day with more than 130 staff and workers, along with many specialized and modern machines and equipment. | Currently, the North-South Expressway construction investment project in the Eastern phase 2021 - 2025 is divided into 12 independently operated projects with a length of 729km passing through 12 provinces and cities, including the following sections: Ha Tinh - Quang Tri (267 km), Quang Ngai - Nha Trang (353 km) and Can Tho - Ca Mau (109 km).
