On the morning of July 20, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led by Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee came to offer flowers and incense at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery; visited and presented gifts to 2 families of policy beneficiaries and exemplary meritorious people in Anh Son district.

Also in the delegation were: Lieutenant Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Le Van Ngoc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Dang Thanh Tung - Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee; Vi Ngoc Quynh - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; and comrades in the Standing Committee of Anh Son District Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation came to offer flowers, incense, and commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs Cemetery (Anh Son district).

The Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery was established in 1976 with an area of ​​6.8 hectares. This is the largest cemetery that gathers the graves of Vietnamese officers, volunteer soldiers and experts who fought and died in Laos.

The cemetery is currently the resting place of 10,825 martyrs from 47 provinces and cities across the country who died on the battlefield in Laos. This is also the only cemetery in Vietnam named after two countries and two peoples, Vietnam and Laos, and is a symbolic work of the loyal and steadfast solidarity of the two brotherly peoples.

With the ethics of "remembering the source of water when drinking" and "remembering the person who planted the tree when eating the fruit", Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and the delegation respectfully bowed to express their respect and infinite gratitude for the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs who fought bravely for the noble international friendship on the battlefields in Laos.

Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and the delegation visited the family of martyr Nguyen Thi Tin (94 years old) in village 6, Duc Son commune, Anh Son district. Tin's mother has 5 children, including 4 boys and 1 girl; 1 son who died was martyr Nguyen Huu Tuong. Currently, she is living with her youngest son, she is old and weak, and has difficulty moving around.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also visited the family of Mr. Nguyen Ba Thi (65 years old), in village 4, Duc Son commune, Anh Son district. Mr. Thi is a war invalid with a disability rate of 31%. He has 4 children, now has a stable job and family.
