Announcement of Decision on Merger and Appointment of Deputy Directors of Vinh General Hospital

Attending the ceremony were: Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Health; Nguyen Van Lu - Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee; Tran Thi Cam Tu - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee, and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

According to this decision, after the merger, Vinh General Hospital will have 720 beds. Vinh General Hospital is responsible for receiving all 153 existing staff, civil servants, and labor contracts (legal) of Vinh Transport Hospital to continue managing, arranging, and using them according to regulations.

The Director of the Department hopes that the two facilities will effectively promote the strengths of each unit, perform well the tasks of medical examination and treatment according to the criteria of a grade 2 hospital, an autonomous hospital; and become a reliable medical examination and treatment address for people in the city and neighboring areas.

The leaders of the Department of Health assigned the task to the Hospital's Board of Directors to develop a development strategy, so that in the coming time, the Department of Health will, together with the Vinh City Party Committee, propose specific development directions to build the unit into a model hospital; the goal is to become a grade 1 hospital.

Comrade Duong Dinh Chinh hopes that the new Deputy Directors will maximize their management and professional capacity and strive to overcome immediate difficulties to achieve the common goals that the industry expects of Vinh General Hospital.

On behalf of all cadres, civil servants and workers of the two establishments, we will accept all opinions and instructions on assigning tasks from the Department Director. We will promptly stabilize the political ideology of cadres and employees; on the basis of inheriting the achievements of the two establishments, gradually improve the organizational structure and human resources to ensure suitability. At the same time, take advantage of the existing advantages and strengths of the two establishments to achieve the goal of unification without spreading investment, promoting maximum efficiency.

Currently, Vinh General Hospital - Branch 2 has just implemented normal medical examination and treatment activities and is urgently renovating, upgrading facilities, investing in equipment, developing expertise, science and technology, thoroughly applying IT...; promising to soon have more reliable medical examination and treatment addresses for people in the province and neighboring areas.

The hospital will soon complete, build, and supplement and amend the autonomy plan under the direction of the Department of Health, to orient the development strategy of Vinh General Hospital in the soonest time; I hope that all levels and sectors will continue to pay attention to investing in facilities and human resources so that the unit can achieve its set goals."
