The conference spent time evaluating the press work in April. Accordingly, press agencies in the province continued to closely follow the reality, produce many quality news and articles in all areas of life, basically meeting the information needs of the people. Notably, in the field of current affairs - politics, timely and complete information on the visits and working activities of Central leaders in Nghe An.

On the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2021), there were bold propaganda articles affirming the great stature and great historical significance of the resistance war against the US to save the country in the cause of fighting for national independence and national reunification.

Many press works promptly reported on key contents at the regular meeting of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee; focusing on emphasizing the implementation of the "dual goal" of both effectively preventing and fighting the epidemic and focusing on socio-economic development.

In April 2021, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department compiled 9 press issues and advised the Standing Committee to issue 9 documents for handling.

By the end of May 3, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department had received 13 documents reporting the results of handling the issues raised by the press from localities and units.

Orienting propaganda work in the coming time, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Head of the Propaganda Department, raised 8 key issues. In which, she emphasized that press agencies should focus on extensive propaganda; emphasize the core contents and major orientations in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress; the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels; resolutely deploy programs and projects to implement the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, contributing to the completion of the goals set for the 2020 - 2025 term.

In particular, strongly propagate the peak period of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term; achievements of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels over the years; affirm that this is an important event to select typical delegates, worthy of representing the will, aspirations and mastery of the people.

The head of the province's Propaganda Department also requested to step up the propaganda of activities to celebrate the 131st anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2021) in conjunction with the 5-year implementation of Directive 05 - CT/TW, dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; Resolution No. 35 - NQ/TW of the Politburo "on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against the wrong views of hostile forces, political opportunists who sabotage the Party, the State and the great national unity bloc.

Focus on disseminating outstanding results in the fields of economy, society, culture, national defense, security, and Party building in the first four months of 2021; proactively disseminating the efforts in management of provincial leaders, departments, branches, and localities; intensifying propaganda on preparations for the national high school exams for the 2020-2021 school year; Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in the spirit of Official Dispatch No. 541/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister; disease prevention and control work on livestock and poultry, and spring crop production in 2021.
