Nghe An establishes field hospital to treat Covid-19 patients
(Baonghean.vn)-Due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Hung Nguyen District Medical Center has been requisitioned as a field hospital.
On the afternoon of June 18, the Nghe An Department of Health sent a document to a series of hospitals about sending doctors, nurses, and technicians to participate in the deployment of field hospitals to treat Covid-19 patients.
"It is forecasted that the number of Covid-19 patients will increase in the coming days, while the Tropical Disease Center at Nghe An General Hospital can only accommodate a few dozen patients. So we have to work quickly," said a leader of Nghe An Department of Health.

Accordingly, Hung Nguyen District Medical Center will be requisitioned to serve as the first field hospital. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thanh - Director of Hung Nguyen District Medical Center said that there are currently about 60 inpatients at the center. These patients will be transferred to Vinh City General Hospital and Nam Dan District General Hospital.
When operational, this field hospital can treat 100 Covid-19 patients.
In addition, authorities are also planning to requisition Nghia Dan General Hospital as field hospital No. 2 in the coming days if the epidemic situation remains complicated.
In the past 5 days, Nghe An recorded 20 Covid-19 patients in 4 districts and towns. Of which, on June 18 alone, 13 patients were recorded. Many cases have unknown sources of infection, have complicated travel schedules, and have come into contact with many people.
