81 years ago, at noon on September 6, 1942 (July 26, Nham Ngo year), beloved comrade Le Hong Phong left us for eternity. Our Party lost a leader who was loyal to the Party, devoted to the people, and a steadfast soldier of the international communist movement.
The 81st death anniversary of General Secretary Le Hong Phong is a special occasion to remember him more deeply, review his life, career, achievements and great contributions to the revolutionary cause, to the country, homeland as well as to peace-loving humanity in the world.

At the same time, this is also an opportunity to continue to remind us to better fulfill our comrade's wish when he left his homeland to find a way to save the country: "If I do not make the country of Vietnam glorious, I will not return."

Comrade Le Hong Phong's real name is Le Huy Doan, born in 1902 in Thong Lang commune, now Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province, in a working-class farmer family. He was a steadfast, dynamic, creative communist, loyal to the country and devoted to the people.

As the person who presided over the Party's work during the revolutionary retreat in the early 1930s, comrade Le Hong Phong, together with the Central Committee, carried out a series of meticulous, persistent, and creative tasks to restore the Party, restore the revolutionary movement, and maintain the fighting spirit of the people. Among them, the proposal of the Action Program and the establishment of the Party's External Command Committee were two events of primary importance.
He skillfully combined two basic requirements in the work of a leader: paying attention to strategic and general issues; and directing specific, practical and effective tasks. During the time he was imprisoned and housed by the enemy, he still participated in the theoretical front with dozens of articles secretly sent and published in the Party's newspapers, especially the People's Newspaper, demonstrating the tenacious fighting spirit, without a moment's rest, of a communist soldier.

Besides, comrade Le Hong Phong is an example of an enthusiastic international revolutionary activist, skillfully combining true patriotism with pure proletarian internationalism.
With 40 years of age and more than 20 years of revolutionary activities, comrade Le Hong Phong is an outstanding leader of our Party, State and People; an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh; a steadfast soldier of the international communist and workers' movement; an outstanding son of his homeland Nghe An.

General Secretary Le Hong Phong devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the People; always putting the interests of the revolution above the interests of his own life and family happiness. Before leaving this world, he left behind immortal words: "Please tell the Party that until the last moment, Le Hong Phong still believed wholeheartedly in the glorious victory of the revolution."
Following the path and career of General Secretary Le Hong Phong, the Party Committee, Government and People of Nghe An province in general and Hung Nguyen district in particular are determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, join hands and hearts to build the homeland to become increasingly prosperous and develop sustainably.

At the sacred moment, the provincial leaders, delegations and people respectfully bowed before the spirit of General Secretary Le Hong Phong; respectfully offered the most fragrant and fresh flower baskets, incense sticks and expressed deep gratitude for the merits and condolences to General Secretary Le Hong Phong at the comrade's Memorial House.

Before the incense offering ceremony on the occasion of the 81st death anniversary of General Secretary Le Hong Phong, comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial-level socio-political organizations respectfully offered incense at the house of General Secretary Le Hong Phong's family and the ancestral house of the General Secretary Le Hong Phong Memorial Area.
