Many Vinh wholesale market traders who did not comply with regulations were infected with Covid-19
(Baonghean.vn) - In recent days, Nghe An has recorded many cases related to Vinh wholesale market but they did not declare their health or comply with home quarantine regulations.
On the morning of August 25, Mr. Phan Thanh Dong - Director of Do Luong Medical Center said that the unit is urgently looking for people who have been to places related to Covid-19 patients. This move took place after a couple in Yen Son commune was found positive for Covid-19.
According to epidemiological investigations, the couple, both 47 years old, went to Vinh wholesale market every day to get goods to sell. On August 15, after Vinh wholesale market was locked down due to an infection, the couple tested negative for Covid-19.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Dong, the local government then decided to quarantine the couple at home. However, both of them did not comply. Specifically, on August 19, after going to the commune health station to take the second test sample, the couple went to Do Luong town, stopped by the Commercial market and shopped at a series of stalls.

Up to now, the outbreak related to the Vinh market is still very complicated. The number of cases related to this market has now reached nearly 300, especially with the continuous detection of cases in the community in recent days.
Not only Do Luong district, localities such as Vinh city, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc... also discovered a series of cases of illness among traders at Vinh wholesale market but they refused to declare or did not comply with the decision to quarantine at home.
Also in the announcement of the case by the Nghe An Department of Health on the afternoon of August 24, in Hung My commune (Hung Nguyen), 1 patient was recorded as a trader at Vinh wholesale market. Although since August 14, the local government has continuously broadcast announcements to those who have been to Vinh wholesale market to urgently declare their health status to receive support, however, this 38-year-old woman, although she still goes to Vinh wholesale market to work regularly every day, still refuses to declare. It was not until August 23, when she had symptoms, that she went to the medical station for a quick test and discovered that she was infected with Covid-19.
Mr. Le Pham Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district said that immediately after discovering this case, he went to Hung My commune to urgently direct the tracing of F1s, to take samples and quarantine them promptly. "I have requested that this trader be criminally prosecuted in case the epidemic spreads to the community," Mr. Hung said and said that, for now, he has directed the police to make a record and consolidate the records.
